The Preliminary Examination consists of 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 200 Marks. There are 75 questions in General Studies (150 Marks) and 25 questions in Arithmetic (50 Marks). The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes).
Yes, there is negative marking in the Preliminary Exam. For every incorrect MCQ answer, 0.50 marks (or 25% of question weightage) are deducted.
The recruitment is held for 19 Executive & Officer posts including ACDPO, Disaster Management Officer (BDMO), Block Youth Officer, Block Welfare Officer, Inspector BCW, Assistant Agricultural Marketing Officer, Subordinate Labour Service, Auditor of Co-operative Societies, and Revenue Inspector across Pay Level 10 (Rs. 32,100 - 82,900/-) and Level 9 (Rs. 28,900 - 74,500/-).
The selection process consists of 3 successive stages: Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ - 200 Marks), Stage 2: Final Examination (Written Conventional - 450 Marks across Paper I, II, & III), and Stage 3: Personality Test / Interview (100 Marks). Total merit is formulated out of 550 Marks.
